I didn’t celebrate my 22nd birthday with anything big or flashy today but here are a few memorable highlights:

🎁 My English co-teacher gave me chocolate cake this morning. Thank you, Sandra!
🎁 One of my classes surprised me with the Happy Birthday song by accidentally singing the tune of the last line first. I was very entertained.
🎁 My co-teacher from the other school that I teach at sent a video of the sixth graders singing Happy Birthday in Taiwanese with their backs to the camera. Just because they didn’t want to show their faces.
🎁 A student of mine has committed my “healthy” tea order to memory. 「Teacher Rachel,無糖綠茶!對不對?」Yup. I am trying to drink green tea with no sugar instead of boba.
🎁 My hot pot place had exactly what I wanted to eat for dinner (what I usually order is sold out generally – sad) I would also like to give a shout out to my roomies for paying the bill. Lol.
🎁 A director from one of my schools surprised me with a large stuffed bunny by showing up to my apartment building after school.
🎁 I named the stuffed bunny 小籠包 xiaolongbao because its head reminds me of the soup dumplings. However, I will call her 包包 for short, mostly because it’s almost a homonym with 抱 (to hug).

Here’s to another year of still looking underage! 🤣🤣
