The First Snow?

It was rainy and wet, but nonetheless, it was snow. October 29th marked the first night of snow flurries!

If you remember from my last post, I mentioned that I was craving Chick-fil-A… so yesterday, Jennifer and I decided to set out for an adventure. We reserved an HourCar, so it took about 20 minutes to get there. You couldn’t believe the joy that I felt when I saw the Chick-fil-A sign; Grilled Chicken club, here I come! πŸ™‚ The manager of the store took my order and we struck up a conversation. I mentioned that I was finally getting my fill of Chick-fil-A after being spoiled living in Chick-fil-A paradise in Atlanta. The Twin Cities only have 3 locations! The manager got really, really excited though when I mention it was Jennifer’s first time at Chick-fil-A. He gave her the lowdown on the company’s motto and the “Original Chicken Sandwich.” Jennifer decided to get the Chick-fil-A deluxe with a lemonade (by my recommendation- you can’t leave without ordering a lemonade!). She was so surprised that the employees actually brought out the food and that the chain is consistent with their superb customer service. Needless to say, I was happy that someone else share my love for Chick-fil-A sandwiches and waffle fries πŸ™‚

To continue our adventures, we also made a detour to Sam’s Club, where I bought more socks (winter is coming!), chocolate (Halloween is my excuse), and Frosted Flakes (my go-to munching snack while reading- Jennifer thinks I can finish the Sam’s Club size in 3 weeks).Β

Instead of Halloween parties and the like, Jennifer and I along with a second-year Bonner friend went Trick or Tricking for cans to benefit local charities πŸ™‚ No one answered the door for the first few houses along our route, but half an hour later, our empty backpacks began weighing us down. Some families generously donated over 4-5 cans and many families gave us candy as well. By the end of the route, all three of us were hunchbacked because of the heavy weight of the cans. Here are all of the cans and non-perishables that the three of us collected:
