Two Days in Taipei: Photos

My mom was supposed to visit me in Taiwan two weeks ago when we planned her trip back in October. Instead, we were left to face a global pandemic head on from opposite ends of the world. Because Taiwan has done an amazing job at curbing the spread of the coronavirus (3 days of zero cases this week!), I decided to embark on a two-day trip to Taipei earlier this week, seeing the places we would have gone together. Normally, I would be overjoyed at the lack of lines everywhere (Taiwan closed its borders to all foreigners), but I can’t help but feel bittersweet at every stop. It was a trip that was never meant to be for one. I’m really looking forward to the day when we would reunite under better circumstances.
